The Taus Ceramic Chess Set began as models hand-sculpted by Tim in the TAUS studio, with minute attention to detailing and historical references. Each piece is moulded and cast in porcelain before firing, hand sanding and finishing.

Each set is accompanied with a walnut and leather-etched board and a beautifully crafted walnut box.

A very special art piece.

Chess sets are made to order and available in a range of colours:
White / Blue / Sage Green / Charcoal

Materials:
Chess pieces made from pure (or colour tinted) porcelain clay, filled and finished with a cork base.

Chess box is crafted from solid walnut, finished with a brass Taus cup emblem. A high density foam insert holds the pieces securely.

Chess boards made from etched leather, mounted to a wooden panel, edged in walnut to match to the box and finished with a cork base.
